Abstract

The Institute for Science and Research was founded in 2003 and it is responsible for promoting, coordinating and carrying out research projects. Main topics of interest are security policing strategies, police science, criminal psychology, terrorism, forensic research, forensic psychiatry, as well as integration and migration related subjects. The institute supports basic and advanced education for the topics of criminal law, based on the general training program for police officers of the security academy. International research is supported within the framework of CEPOL and other related organisations.
