Voluntary Civic Engagement and the Citizens’ Perspective

Abstract

This paper originates from a comprehensive research programme which evaluates the context of different policing roles in organisations life of the police, public life, the citizens’ perception of this presence, and the potential impact on subjective security. The aspect of voluntary policing is highlighted.
